I am a smart, articulate person, and I have questioned God many times. Sometimes answers don't come right away, sometimes they aren't what I want. But the more I question Him, the more He reassures me, and our relationship grows deeper.
One of the most wonderful things about God is that He never changes. Never ever. Which means He will never say that we are not worth saving. Sometimes people who say they believe in God, don't understand. That is why The Crusades and things like that happen. But it's never hopeless, because even when the world ends, and only one person is in heaven, the angels will still rejoice.

Sorry, sorry, that's come out completly wrong. I wasn't meaning to say that you weren't smart and articulate, I know you are, what I was saying is that I can't understand how someone that's smart and articulate can believe in something like God. It's just that the more I and many other people I've discussed this with questioned religion, the less it made sense, which led me to ask why the majority of people don't see that too. It's difficult to explain properly without sounding like I'm saying religious people are fools, which I'm not saying, it's just that I really don't understand it, so I'm finding it hard to put into words efficiently enough.

Well Christians seem very closed minded (no offence) it’s almost like we (as in Christians) are right you aren’t so face it. Please answer me… why are you right? What about the Buddhists, Muslims etc… why cant they be right too? I laugh if we all just die and yea that’s about it!

Muslims think they are right, christians think they are right, buddist think they are right, but the simple truth is: Nobody is right at all. Fate is just a manner of explaining things. They used to believe that the gods would make the rain and the lightning and all everything that happened and they couldn't explain. Now that modern science has solved all those mysteries, the only thing left unexplained is death. Why do you think that all the religions are so fixated on death? It just all fits together. Religion is made for explaining things. They used it for explaining all sorts of things.
HA! Touché!

Modern science has solved these mysteries!?! Where did you get that from? For one thing, how did we get here? How did the world come into being? Science and Christianity don't have to disagree; in a lot of places, they agree. For that, I can give you proof.
Because they aren't. At a glance, christianity seems to be about death, yes. But, a closer look shows that it's fixated on a relationship with the creator of the universe. A personal relationship of total submission and love.

So does atheism, without the heaven/hell.

Not really. Atheism has different "followings," I suppose, just like religion. I don't think there's anything after life, but I don't think that there's anything important about dying.

Damnit, quite pinning me one one thing I say and look at the global picture. You now say that a big thing of christianety is about the relation with you and the creator of the universe. Two things modern science can't explain (for example, happy now?) is death and how the world started. And what do you call god? the creator of the universe. So the religion formes a theory about that in a godlike manner so that they have an explenation for those things. It's just a way to sove the mysteries that are not solveble for the human mind. But technicly it is no more than a fairie tale that helps you sleep better, or not fear death.
Don't get me wrong, there is to much weird shit going on for death to be the end, there has to be more. But I don't think the things that are in the bible is what goes on afther the end. Maybe it is just a matrix kinda world. Who knows.

Alright. I've been watching this and this is getting to be a little ugly. We can stand around and head butt all we want and not going to get anywhere. I am a Christian, I'll let you know that right off. I'm not going to start a whole arguement, I just want to make a challenge. I know this will sound very stupid to a lot of you but just humour me. Think of a sign or something that would prove to you that God exists. I believe with all my heart that God will prove it to you. He may not do it for a long time but I know He will. Please just do this. It can't hurt you.

Will you not even do this one thing that takes practically no effort? You don't believe there is a God, I do and I'm being called closed minded. How come those that don't believe there is one aren't called so? You won't even take this chance to prove me wrong.

I'm not calling you close minded, Firi. I'm calling people who refuse to see that religion may not work for others close minded.
And anyway, what's your point? I used to be religious (not Christian, but religious), and then I decided that I really didn't care anymore, and that the values weren't for me. So it doesn't matter whether I do what you said or not, really... even if whatever I chose happened, it wouldn't make me believe in anything but chance.

Hey wait doesn't it say you arent allowed to test God?
Firi I used to be a big Christian, I was even leader of a Youth Group but nothing was happening it was like Hello God? So I have no time for the so called God. That was mean but I have been let down too many times by him. If he loved me he wouldn't make life hurt me so much! Yea, yea everything happens for a reason. Was his reason to hurt me and get a kick out of it?
