Nev, Feel free to write your own if you'd like. I feel as though I've been reading too many Miss Marples, but ah well. I hold no claim to the idea of a LotR mystery series, though I'm going to do one. I do, however, have claim to Mr. Bingo Hilldweller. Nuru

Bingo Hilldweller, a hobbit in the Shire who's hobby is to solve mysteries....
I've been pondering this idea for awhile. A Lord of the Rings mystery series. However, before I start putting my time into writing it, I need to know what thoughts are about it. A good idea? Bad? All right? Wonderful? The worst you ever heard?

Let me pause the mayhem long enough to great Inkling Elf. I'd wondered where you went. Hope you can stay for awhile now. And maybe you could be my sidekick (or, rather, I could be yours, since originally you were a mod of that forum) in getting the Theology section going? I asked Bekah about it but she said she was too busy. I need in a partner in crime. Gotta run and watch the newest DVD of the house... can you guess what it is?

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Bad moment for it to happen, though, when Edmund is going to try to run away from home. Don't panic. Stay calm, and it will all be sorted out. Only panic if you find out that while the Downs can be saved for us, we will be unable to see any of the topics that have been posted before we came back. Then you can panic. ;D

I for one am doing the Walk to Rivendell. Dragon, you're ahead of me! I've done 54.5 as of today.

Nilly, I LOVE IT!!! Hurrah, hurrah! Of course, as befitting my personality, I won't be posting in the informal debates until someone else does first.
Now, at last, all those Logic lessons come in handy! So beware. (no approriate smiley for this)
Wow, maybe I could get another member for Imladris now... I have a friend who is a LotR fan and she does real debate.

If you're afraid you'll have too many females, I'd be happy to 'bring' Dinodas to the party. That is, if I'm permitted to play Robin?

Sounds fun. I'll try to think of some awards, but if we're going to have dances, I positively insist we have some Irish and Scottish dance. And please don't worry if you don't know it at all. I very much in the dark about the other two dances mentioned.
But as for awards, we should definitely have some awards centered around RPing and FanFics. And I agree with what Dragoneyes said about nominations. We could all PM one of the mods when we get the awards all finished and everything, and the five with the highest amount of votes for each award would be the ones who had the shot at winning the award.
About the worst speller award.... are you sure that wouldn't offend anyone?

Elentari,
After a long absence due to Lent, I've returned and see that you've moved to a different board. Good choice, I have my own board with proboards and it's excellent.
Now that I've once again arrived, can I be re-added as a mod? And I'll be sending along my RPG idea within the next few days, as soon as I get it built up properly.
Namarie!

(1) Should one always obey their parents without question?
Yes, providing that their parents are right.
Example 1: If your mother or father says 'don't go to (insert movie name here),' then don't go. They have a reason for it, most definitely.
Example 2: If your mother and father tells you to go steal something, or (insert other bad deed here), don't obey.
I was raised being taught to say 'yes, mom/dad' and ask why later. Fortunately no situation ever arose where I had to disobey because they were asking me to do something wrong.
(2) How far should one's loyalty extend to the family?
Fairly far. Now (forgive my example, but at the moment I'm in the midst of reading Agatha Christie) if a member of your family were to commit a crime and you knew they did it, if the police were to come and ask you, 'Did so-and-so commit the crime?' then your answer should be 'Yes.' You should be loyal to your family, but there is such a thing as being so loyal that you're doing something wrong.
Make sense? Objections?

Oooh, that's wonderful! I've galloped a few times before. Nothing could be better than galloping over a green field on the horse you love best. Only around here you have to watch out for squirrel holes. I didn't know there were so many riders here! Do you ride English or Western?
I'll start riding again soon!! Sorry, just had to say that. I haven't gone riding since October or earlier.

Thank you again. She's been asked on the Moderating This thread. Hopefully there will be a reply soon, whether a no or yes.
Just one more question: as a mod, do you (Eruanne) have the ability to accept RPG proposals?

Thank you very much, Eruanne.
Now another question. This has nothing to do with PMs, but I don't think I should waste a new thread.
Is Elentari still letting us be mods for the RPG section, or will it just be her and you from now on? Because if she is, I would greatly desire to be a moderator. If not, so be it. I can live with it.

I've been trying, but I cannot figure out how to send private messages. Does anyone know how? Is it even possible on proboards?
Thanks in advance, Nurumaiel
