Has anyone read C.S. Lewis Out of the Silent Planet, Perelandra, or The Hideous Strength? I loved the first two, and just couldn't get into the third. But I loved the idea of Adam and Eve with a new twist.

Adam and Eve with a new twist - that was pretty much what Phillip Pullman was going for in His Dark Materials, wasn't it?

I don't know. I haven't read anything by him. But I've heard he's a good author, so he's on my list of books to look for, whenever I go to the bookstore.

I read Out of the Silent Planet -- I am still anticipating the other two -- Lewis is an awesome author! Some say Perelandra is the best book though.

I read those, and they were great! I adore the Narnia ones too! Currently I'm writing a fantasy story and C.S. Lewis is one of my influences, as well as Tolkien.

Thanks. If it's the Lord's will maybe I'll be able to publish it.
