Okay, InklingElf. I'm going to actually leave this to you, mostly, but I'll check in every now and then, adding my bit when I have something to add.

So I'm going to ask you to start this up. Because I have a bit of latin and history to catch up on tonight, and a lot of rhetoric. This is my second week for a one week thing. I need to get going with it. Horribly hard, though...

Here's what the dictionary says it is:

The study of the nature of God and religious truth; rational inquiry into religious questions.
A system or school of opinions concerning God and religious questions: Protestant theology; Jewish theology.
A course of specialized religious study usually at a college or seminary.

Aside from the dictionary entry - which are always helpful, thanks

- the word theology comes from two greek words: theos (God) and logos (word).

Theology is the word of God. The various beliefs about God, gods, or the absence of either. Thus, if we're discussing theology, we're discussing God.
