As in Stephen King? I've heard of it, read a paragraph of the book, and seen the trailer. It looked kinda weird, but intriguing. Is that what you're talking about?

Hmm, sounds like my kinda film...Is it scary? Cause I've been asked to write a script for an idea I accidently pitched, and should really do some research...Even though it'll take me ages to get round to watching it, considering my to watch list is so long. Hmm...Halloween might be a good time to watch it...(am a Halloween fanatic) Oh, (I am a pink fairy), I can't. I'll be away jet setting to NY...It'll be my first ever missed Halloween! I should probably continue this rant in my journal huh? Ok, well, would you reccommend it for script writing research purposes? (What a lot of spraff...I may edit this post later when I read it back and blush at all this random nonsense I've written...)

It really get's scary when the house comes to life and starts eating people But it is more good than scary . I like the good humor in it . And full of emotions that take over by the time they find out that there is no way out of the house . And if I would have to research script writing stuff I would most deffinetly choose this film (maybe because it's my no1 fave after LotR) ;D And hay , I'm happy to meet another mistycal and paranormal film liker P.S.I'm sorry that you'll have to skip Halloween , but oah well , think about the brighter side of it - I do not celebrate Halloween at my country at all .

I love ghosts and whatnot. Houses that eat people come under that too. I love the history behind paranormal things.
Like in folk songs, they always have the most gory things in them. There's Long Lankin about a man who murders a baby by pricking him with pins then he and a false nurse catch the blood in a basin and spread it everywhere so when the baby's mother came down the stairs she saw all the blood and fainted into the murderer's arms who, surprisingly enough, murders her. The man of the house returns home to find his family dead. Then the murderer and the false nurse are convicted, the bloke hanged and the woman burnt at the stake.
And there's another one about a ghost in the London tower which always fascinated me but I'm really missing the topic here and really just showing you what disturbing songs I've listened to in the car since I was born.
Anyhow, it sounds like a film I'd love.
I don't celebrate Halloween either, Lossie seems to be outnumbered.

I am in too much shock to try and convince you that Halloween is one of the best times of year. I seriously am in shock. I don't know what to say, it means a lot to me, and well, I em...can't believe this.

Three cheers for PJ !!! ;D My , my Dragoneyes , you'r just as obsessed with these things as I am ... Or is it just me ? It's my favorite film after LotR !!! It's just really really good , and it has the whole story about Rose Red (the house was named RR) and how , when and all about those peaople dissapearing . Only I got dissed that my favorite charecter got eaten by the house too And btw , my folk tales are full of frightening stuff like this (only not so full of blood) but that really is off topic . But hay ! How about we make a new one ? About ghosts and paranormal things ? -Ophelia-

Halloween isn't a partically Bristish thing, but it's getting bigger every year. Hey! Dragoneyes.... What do you call a halloween party other than celebrating? Well.... more like going insane actually... ok, ignor that comment.
I've never heard of Rose Red.

*hauls ass over to movies topic also*
Well if we start up somewhere for philosophy, it could always fit in there alongside. Then we could have somewhere for people to talk about weird experiances or to teach people about their beliefs and ideas. Ok, so maybe teach isn't the right word, but y'all know what I mean.
