k people, this thread is what the topic says it is. Who has the coolest costume, and/or makeup, and why? After all, this movie had to have had the best costumes ever made by man (or factory) in movie history! But, who had the best? Tell us here! Start passionate debates!
Mine: If you've watched the extended DVD, you have to have seen the level of detail that went into Saruman's costume. Wow!

I think that Arwen and Galadrael's costumes are the best, mainly because i want them *drools* they are soo preety and beautiful and gorgeous and........ looses herself OK i think you get the drift, I also want their jewelery!!

I think that Galadriel has the best costume. I LOVE her dress. it is just so sparkley and white and pretty!! I want it so bad!!!!! Well that is my opinion.......

I like Sauron's armor in Fellowship. It's got a sort of "Oh, no, don't you even mess with me" look about it. So cool. But, on a different note, I also like Legolas's costume. Not sure why.... It's just got a cool look to it, ya know?

I definitely loved the hobbit's costumes. No doubts. They are so perfect for their characters. I was visitng my grandfather's house and was going through all his clothes (he's from England) and put together three perfect hobbit costumes (even if they were a little large). I especially liked the dress worn by the hobbit girl dancing with Frodo at the party. It's a pretty yellow color.
Second best was Galadriel's "freak out" dress. The one where she was sort of thinking about taking the ring? That was so wicked. It's got all those strips of greenish fabric. And then the armor like bodice. Yea, that was the best.
I was most interested in seeing the Dunedain's costumes but nooo PJ took them out. grrr

I will have to agree with fanawen about the hobbits' costumes
They were excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also liked Aragorn's (he actually kind of "lived in it" to make it look old, and repaired it himself when he had to..... I mean Viggo Mortensen)
of course, I also loved Galadriel's, Eowyn's and Arwen's dresses (I SO want to have the chase outfit)

I found the coolest website, it has TONS of information abotu virtually all the costumes, and even instructions for making ears. It's way cool! but, I forgot the web address.... I'll have to find it, and post the link. There is a certain dress of Arwen's that I want soooooo much, it's mostly red and black velvet with gold detailing, it is GORGEOUS.
Aragorn's is also excellent, it really does look like he's a Ranger. It was kinda strange to see him clean after a while, you kinda expected him to be wet and dirty!
