This debate was brought to my attention by Dragoneyes, and I figured it was a good topic, so, here we are.
Should minors (as young as their early teens) be allowed to vote?

I don't think minors should be allowed to vote. Very few teens know about what is in the news(except homeschoolers ). They wouldn't know who stood for what, unless they really cared. And, let's face it, not many teens care for, or know much about, politics Also, many teens aren't good descion makers. Many teens just follow the crowd. If they voted for someone very controvercial, which I doubt they wouldn't, their peers would tear them down.

I don't have a set opinion on minors voting, really, but I do want to say that what you just said is not very acurate. I'm in seventh grade. I'm not homeschooled. ;)And I can definitely say that at least 7/8 of my grade is highly interested in politics, follows them carefully, and holds "informal debates" on it in the hallways, or, if the teachers allow, the classroom, whenever there is any sort of election, law being passed, war being started, whatever, and quite often even when nothing is really going on. Just a comment. -Menelien Edit: EEEP. My poor, poor spelling...

I was just kidding about the homeschooler part. Sorry if I caused confusion.
