I was just wondering... visiting these Vaults and not seeing any thread on werewolves... impossible. Well, not anymore. Because I've decided to start one.
Everybody know stories about the big bad wolf who had eaten Little Red Riding Hood and her grandma, right? Well, IMHO, I think it was a wolf-man, or a werewolf.
More meaner than the petty vampires, more frightening than the wraiths and the wights (is there any difference?), maybe the zombies are worse than them, but this in a another story. Everyone has an idea about how this wolf-men look like: big, hairy, meany, with fangs at long as a man's arm, with fangs like dirks and all that.
Everyone knows about how the became werewolves: being bitten by a mad wolf. And everyone knows that they can be killed only by silver. This are popcorn stories, boys and girls. A real werewolf doesn't transform during a full moon, nor does they can be killed by silver.
My people thinks that they are doomed men. "They were once men...", and that they can be turned by a pie. Don't laugh, it's a special pie. I mean it's more of a tart with all sort of ingredients which equivalent in english I do not know.
I'll get back to you with more info.

Well BK , it`s not thet it didn`t cross my mind to make the thread but you see the situation in the Vaults Now what`s concerning warewolwes , in my country they were known looong ago and they really belived they were doomed people in one way but more envy and evil wishing ones for to become a warewolf you had to put a mill in your ass and crawl through a root of a tree that has comed out of the ground naked . To re-change do the same but crawl backwards . But beware - you had to hide your clothes . If anyone finds them and touches them you become a warewolf forever . But the only way to return for this situstion is for somebody to give you a piece of bread from all his heart . What else should have I written ? Okies I made a mess in my brain so Ill post the missing parts later on . Ophe

As the only literature telling of warewolves is folklore , I dare say that opinions of these supernatural creatures differ within the boarders of the beliefs of the specific countries myths . And even though I've read and heard a lot of theories , including the one you are talking of (the one saying that all you've known this far is wrong) , I have my sympathies with the folklore of my coutry .
