;D
Hello, my name is Jack and I love this board and the people who visit it.
Anyway, here is the beginnings of my suggestions. I figured I'd write them all down as they came to me, so you guys could hear them.
1.) How about we have an activity check, and then delete all of the members who haven't logged on in the last 6 months if no one responds?
2.) Codes? I know loads of nifty codes that could clear up and spiffify this board, and it would attract more people.
...
More to come.

Well the first one I believe is already in effect as I have had to reregister 3 different times because of long absences when my computers broke down due to viruses.

I just meant that right now there are a lot of people who haven't logged-in in forever, and I think it would be great to get rid of them so that more can be done.
Also, I have some things to add to that list:
3.) Prune old threads away. Either delete them or move them to an archive board.
4.) A new skin, perhaps?

Aw, you don't like the skin? Or you think I should add new ones? Anything layout related would have to wait a few months until after my exams.
I'll send out a mass email saying anyone who doesn't post in the next 2 weeks will be deleted.
I'll get round to archiving old threads

Woo! Hi. I am still alive, to many people's displeasure. Although I am sad to see there are no custom smileys. I loved them.

Bwa ha ha I am still an internet addict. I just have less time than I'd like. I remember lots of other smileys though, like the hammer one. That was used an awful lot.
To my shame I actually thought that Imladris had died, since whenever I happened to vist nothing much had happened. But it seems it's still quite alive. I'll give Nilly a text and tell her to get her ass back online. If I have enough money to text her...she is all the way across the sea...

Well, it had died, but then quickbeam came and started posting. It was just us 2 for a while *big hug for quickbeam*
And yeah, something happened to the smilies. Mainly that the place we linked from died. I tried to save as many as I could. I actually searched for hours for the hammer one. I loved it *tear* ^_^'

I have have a few I can donate, but I have no idea where I stored them all...I had a little dude chasing another guy with an axe. I suspect that one would be much loved. I'm quite excited now, good old Imladris seems to have nine lives.

Who thinks I should delete the "Theology and Philosophy" board. If I do I'm going to save all the posts, but I just want to know if people think they'll ever post there. The "Red Book" and "Art is the Substitute for Life" boards have been deleted. Both died long ago. I WAS going to save everyone's journals from the Red Book, but I clicked the wrong button. No "Are you sure?" thing. Just bye-bye journals

Well, I see that there have been quite a few more people to join us, which is great!
I'd love to help prune away old threads, point out which ones could go, and whatnot.

I'd love your opinion on what threads to move to the old topics or delete (other than the sections i've already cleared)
Does anyone think they'd actually use the theology & philosophy board?

I'm for getting rid of some old threads, but I think that there should maybe be a goal in mind. Instead of just closing down everything that isn't used, would it not be more interesting for anyone coming back to put more time into thinking up new threads and stuff? If the aim is to get some of the oldies back, and half of the topics they remember aren't there, they might feel less inclined to return. But then I only started posting again the other day, what do you guys think?

Hmmm, that's a point. If only I remembered where the threads I closed and moved the other day came from ^_^; I'm sure i could work it out though.
I think we should start a thread where we can think up new threads. In fact *does so*
I'm not sure how many of the old members would stay active though. I would love for them to return, but I'd also love for the board to be able to attract new members too

;D Which would mean clearing away old, unused threads.
I will look at those threads as soon as I have a free minute, which at my rate will be a few days.
