Gather round my young (and other aged) friends. It was not so long ago on the Barrow Downs that we had a little mini counsil going on Middle Earth Mayhem (as it was known then). Many a good discussion did we have there, talking about things such as Valinor and the races of middle earth, especially Elves. That is until, one horrible day, the evil Sharku came an closed us down without notice. But we were not downhearted an opened a-new the Council of Elendil! But, after only a few happy days in victory, we were defeated.
We rebelled. We fought. We went to the Barrow Wight himself, but to no avail. We were defeated, and could not trust to hope. But then, when all hope had faded into shadow, we found a new place to meet. It was not long after our sad loss that Lossie found us a new home at our own aimoo forum. We named the new forum Imladris, for 'twas in Rivendell we loved so much to meet. For many a day we talked there, with many new things to talk about, now including comedy and RPGs, but ne'er was it to be. We were plagued by a vicious swarm of pop-up advertisements, and many a member's computer could not cope with this new enemy.
'Twas on the merry day of April 15th that the new Imladris, that you do now behold, was opened. It has seen many a joyful day, many a woeful day and many an insane day. But, alas, 'tis now at deaths door. But there is still hope while the company is true. We were not defeated, we are not defeated, an we shall never be defeated.
