There is a cute band here called Destiny In Blue, an excellent band (great vocals and great on the piano and guitar). DIB (short for Destiny In Blue) consist of two girls that are about 15 (not too sure) their CD is excellent! Here a few of their songs:
Memories
Oh-oh (its getting lonely) Oh-oh (I wish you were here to hold me) You’re gone left me to face the world alone You left when I thought our love had just grown Your smile is a memory in my head I haven’t got a tear left to shed I mourn a thousand times a day I wish I could have you back and things the same way
Chorus Memories, all I have is memories of you The ocean when I looked inside your eyes The way you looked at me with surprise Your hug was so tight Oh how you kissed me goodnight Memories, just memories of me and you
Our love is just a memory now I have to move on some way some how Love is lost and is not fulfilled This is not the way I willed Can I move on is there a way Can I live another day (with out you)
Bridge I knew the moment that you died, I had this feeling deep down inside, cant you come back one more time, so I can tell you how you will always be mine

Another once by DIB:
Why?
I fell in love with you the moment we met But now it is something I regret I trusted you and gave you my heart You took it then tore it apart (Music)
I saw you with her, holding her hand Your feet walking romantically on the beach sand The moment I saw that I wanted to hide This jealousy this pain was hurting inside (Music)
Chorus Why, did you do this to me? I have a fragile heart cant you see? I am hurt so much I can’t even cry I am asking you please just tell me why Were you using me all that time? I hope you do know you have gone out of line (Music)
I could scream kick and shout Oh how I wish I could let it all out Don’t even call me I don’t want to talk to you I will not forgive you cause I can see right through (Music)
Why do you cause me all this pain? You have basically just thrown this love down the drain I can go on with out you in my life I don’t kneed some one to cause so much pain and strife (Music)

Do the song have to be, uh, serious?

No they dont have to be serious its just for some unkown reason I am attracted to serious, gloomy songs! I found another song by DIB... happier one!
I really do wish I could find a clip of their songs so you could hear them because you really dont know how amazing they are!

My absolute favorite song:
Home is behind; the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread. Through shadows, to the end of night, Until the stars are all alight. Mist and shadow, cloud, and shade. Hope shall fail; all will fade.

By Finger Eleven.
"One Thing"
Restless tonight Cause I wasted the light Between both these times I drew a really thin line It’s nothing I planned And not that I can But you should be mine Across that line
[Chorus:] If I traded it all If I gave it all away for one thing Just for one thing If I sorted it out If I knew all about this one thing Wouldn’t that be something
I promise I might Not walk on by Maybe next time But not this time
Even though I know I don’t want to know Yeah I guess I know I just hate how it sounds
[Chorus x2]
Even though I know I don’t want to know Yeah I guess I know I just hate how it sounds
Even though I know I don’t want to know Yeah I guess I know I just hate how it sounds
[Chorus x3]

Here is a song I really like. I can only remember the chorus, so here it is.
More
I love you more Than the sun or the stars Whom I taught How to shine You are mine And I'll pull you thorough I love you Yesterday And today And tomorrow's The same I'll say it again And again I love you more

Across the Universe
Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup, They slither while they pass, they slip away across the universe Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my open mind, Possessing and caressing me. Jai guru de va om Nothing's gonna change my world, Nothing's gonna change my world.
Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes, That call me on and on across the universe, Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box they Tumble blindly as they make their way Across the universe Jai guru de va om Nothing's gonna change my world, Nothing's gonna change my world.
Sounds of laughter shades of earth are ringing Through my open views inviting and inciting me Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns, it calls me on and on Across the universe Jai guru de va om Nothing's gonna change my world, Nothing's gonna change my world.
(*This is actually a Beatles song but the Rufus Wainwright rendition is AWESOME)

99 Red Balloons (as sung by john feldman - goldfinger) (originally by nena - 1984) (includes a verse from "99 luftballons" - also by nena)
You and i in a little toy shop Buy a bag of balloons with the money we've got Set them free at the break of dawn 'til one by one, they were gone Back at base, bugs in the software Flash the message, "something's out there" Floating in the summer sky 99 red balloons go by.
99 red balloons floating in the summer sky Panic bells, it's red alert There's something here from somewhere else The war machine springs to life Opens up one eager eye Focusing it on the sky As 99 red balloons go by.
99 decision street, 99 ministers meet To worry, worry, super-scurry Call out the troops now in a hurry This is what we've waited for This is it boys, this is war The president is on the line As 99 red balloons go by.
99 kriegsminister Streichholz und benzinkanister Hielten sich fuer schlaue leute Witterten schon fette beute Riefen: krieg und wollten macht Mann, wer haette das gedacht Dass es einmal soweit kommt Wegen 99 luftballons
99 dreams i have had In every one a red balloon It's all over and i'm standin' pretty In the dust that was a city If i could find a souvenier Just to prove the world was here... And here it is, a red balloon I think of you and let it go.
99 knights of the air Ride super-high-tech jet fighters Everyone's a silverhero Everyone's a captain kirk With orders to identify To clarify and classify Scramble in the summer sky As 99 red balloons go by.

Inkling Elf - I love both of those songs. ;D They're not quite unknown though. Desert Sessions "Crawl Home" (A personal favorite of mine... download it. =P The singing is done by PJ Harvey, really really good.) No more It's done Crawl home Get gone Your love Is evil Lonesome My bones Took me such a long time to figure it out Now is it too late, I can't do it alone Took me such a long time to figure it out Don't take it away, away, oh Snowstorm In my heart Crawl home Your love Is evil I'm lonesome Just get more and more Where you've dared Took me such a long time to figure it out Now is it too late, I can't do it alone Took me such a long time to figure it out Don't take it away, away, oh Took me such a long time to figure it out Now is it too late, I can't do it alone Took me such a long time to figure it out Don't take it away, away, oh... -Menelien

Faith, I know many, many beautiful, sweet, wonderful songs that seem to be rather unknown. Shocking, really, but what can one do? There are so many of them that I'll just give links to the lyrics. CarrickfergusCastle of DromoreThe DutchmanEasy and SlowEileen AroonFields of AthenryFour Green FieldsThe Gallant Forty TwaJock O'HazeldeanThe Parting GlassRed is the RoseThe Sally GardensShoals of HerringThe Skye Boat SongWhistling GypsyWill Ye Go, Lassie, Go?There you go for a starter. If heard on the radio, it's rarely, though I think Thistle and Shamrock has some occasionally... though that's only Sunday night. Generally I only hear these songs coming from my own lips, though sometimes you'll get thrown in with the right group of people, and even if not you can very well teach them! So.... unknown, or not?

I heard there was a secret chord that David played and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do you? Well it goes like this : The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah... Well your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrough ya She tied you to her kitchen chair She broke your throne and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah Baby I've been here before I've seen this room and I've walked this floor I used to live alone before I knew ya I've seen your flag on the marble arch But love is not a victory march It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah There was a time when you let me know What's really going on below But now you never show that to me do ya But remember when I moved in you And the holy dove was moving too And every breath we drew was Hallelujah Well, maybe there's a God above But all I've ever learned from love Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya It's not a cry that you hear at night It's not somebody who's seen the light It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah... Ah I love this song, it's by Jeff Buckley and it's great put to music hehehe
