Is anyone here good at elvish? (ie, knows more than the odd phrase). Also, are there any people out there willing to learn Elvish?

I just finished lesson 10 at Council of Elrond, what do you need to know, and I'll see if I can help. Am not very good yet, need to brush up on my vocab again, kinda forgot about it for the last year... EDIT- am a fool. Forgot to mention I'm studying Sindarin. What type of Elvish do you mean?

That, my friend, depends on what people's favourite is, Quenya or Sindarin. I personally prefer Quenya. I asked for the simple reason I was thinking of starting a language section, including a topic to help people learn elvish. But as I'm not good at it, I was going to ask someone else to run the lessons. I've read over the first few lessons that I downloaded once, though I read it about half a year ago. I remember some of the grammer, kind of!

Well, I'd say it's a fantastic idea, I was kinda thinking about asking if anyone else here was learning, cause then we could help each other. Learning on your own can be really tough. But as for someone to run lessons, they'd have to be an extremly good linguist. I mean, I find it hard enough just understanding lenition, articles, genitvies, mutations, all the various adjective, pronoun and plural formations and I'm not even on stem verbs yet! Are there any advanced speakers? I'd love to help out though, cause I love learning Sindarin, and if we set up some kind of section where people can go for help, maybe it'll inspire others to start learning. ;D And we could maybe do a little something to Tengwar.

If i were to teach a script, it would have to be the Angathas!
I could probably teach Quenya from the lessons I downloaded, but simplyfy things and cut out some rubbish that people don't need to know.

Well I'd be really happy to give Sindarin lessons a bash, but if there's anyone more experianced, then please say so, cause I'd hate to start off and do it badly, thus failing horribly. It'd be great to have our own lessons for Quenya and Sindarin. We could do lessons, phrase book, and obviously we'd need somewhere for confuzzled people. And could we maybe do a translations bit, so we could work on stuff for fan fic, or translating poems and stuff, that really helps. ;D

I don't think I've ever heard of Lambengolmor, I only use Council of Elrond, cause their lessons are amazing. Although lately I've not been doing any Elvish at all. Bad Lossie, bad.
