Dear friend,
In recent times the fair place Imladris has been quiet. I have not seen you around of late, and your absense bothers me. Why is it you haven't been seen? Are you well, or have your adventurers feet taken you away from here?
But enough said on that matter. A thought came into my head in these past few moments, inspiring me to write letters to you, in a small, but no less stong, hope to get you to respond. I would so gladly like to see your writing, and it does not bother me of what length it is or if it is well written or not. My heart would be glad just to see one word from you. I hope this letter gets to my destination, but whoever finds and reads this letter is free to respond. Any letter is welcome, and I will gladly reply each time I receive a letter.
On matters of a larger scale, did you attend the coronation of King Elessar? I did not have time or means of transport to attend myself, for my faithful mare, Tasari, was heavey with foal and I could not leave her so late in her pregnancy. Should I have missed the birth, my bond with Tasari's beautiful foal Isilanna would not be as strong. Like her mother before her, Isillanna was named for her surrounding of her birth. Her mother was born on the bank of a river well know for it's vast collection of willows, so I named her Tasari, which means "willow trees". Isillanna was born in the light of a full moon, much to the annoyence of the children I am governess to, for they were not allowed out so late at night. At one point in the night we thought we had lost Isillanna, but just as the moon came out from behind the clouds I saw one of her forelegs twitch. It is for this reason she was named Isillanna, for it roughly means "gift of the moon".
Forgive me, for I have been ranting on about matters that you may have no interest in. I look forward to receiving a letter in reply, from anyone, from oldest to youngest, fairest to foulest. Write soon, my friend.
Namárie,
Elentari.
