I was browsing around and I have found this forum empty. For long time, I have been looking for a place where to give some suggestions for the imporvement of this already wonderful site. First of all, I would like to say that the statue icon (Imladris) it's very nice, but it shouldn't be as an icon for every forum. Example: for the Minas Tirith you should use the picture of the White City from the movie trilogy. For Minas Morgul the picture of Minas Ithil and so on. Maybe you could also add another forum room named Helm's Deep where we could role-play at that famous battle. What do you think?

In regards to your idea with different pictures for the different places in middle earth, I'm afraid that with the limited admin functions for changing the images, that would be impossible.
I think that having an RPG based on the battle at Helm's Deep would be an excellent idea. But I don't think it would need its own section. However, the RPG area is extremely inactive, and I'd like to get the other RPGs back up and running before opening any new ones.
Thank you for your ideas though! Wonderful site? Well thank you! We're always glad to receive input from the members!

In reply, to the first post from this section, I have to claim as mine. I don't know why, but when I had wanted to register it in my name, it didn't accept it. Trouble with the connection and all... So if you were wondering who BKnight of Gondor was... well it's me, your old friend BKnight.

Have u ever thought of changing the site's name? I mean, "elentari" is okay, got a Vala-smt there, but "proboards18"? I know how hard it is to change a site's name (I mean, at least in my country, hope the situation is different in yours), but could u at least try?

I'm sorry, but that's completely impossible. Changing proboard account to get a better name at the start than 'elentari' would require copying all the posts across, and i've already had to do that once when there was a lot less posts, which took ages. Buying a domain name is expensive, and i have no way to pay for it anyway. Perhaps when i'm 18 (2 and a bit yrs), and if i have enough spare money to afford £10 month (which i doubt) I'll pay for a domain name & good webhosting and make a php forum.

Okay, this will start seeming a bit of a bad habit, but hey... I'll risk it; Have you ever thought of adding a thread, to each poster should automatically be notified? Of course, the subject for this thread will be smt interesting like: check out the... x section... there Mr and Ms are talking about... smt; u get the idea; Basically, the latest and coolest things will be posted on this thread, a notification will be sent to the posters and they will know what is the latest interesting thing. What do you say?

We've already tried a board like that once, but it seemed to die. However, regarding the notification aspect, it's up to the individual member to click the "notify" button at the bottom of a topic if they want to receive an e-mail each time there's a new post.
Thanks for the suggestion though! Always appreciated.

I'm not sure if I want to admit this, or if this could even be considered a suggestions... but there are, as I'm sure we've all noticed, few posts left. I shall attempt to explain this from how I percieve it best. Everyone who shares this view will remain anonymous lest they feel like stepping forth. Elentári, you and the other admins will know who I am, I'm sure. The others will probably pick up my style of writing right away. Anyway, as I have gathered, the reasoning for our absence, for the "dying" aire to this forum, in our opinions is... *cringe* because we feel the forum had strayed out of control. There were so many feuds, and battles going on between members. The forum was straying from its roots and I think that's what killed it. I know that others, for certain share my opinion. I've been told before that someone is "glad the forum is going down" There were so many problems (and you admins handled them very well) but members were still pushed away, and as you can see, aren't about to come back. I'm not sure if I can suggest anything here, because I see that modifications have been made already. I just think that there is a feeling of unwelcomness about this forum that drove away most of our main members. I'm sorry, Elentári, Nil, Lossie... but I don't think that my posting here will ever return to what it used to be. I just wanted you guys to know why it is that I'll be leaving, and it has been strikingly painful to say it. Delete this post when you wish it, but know who it is that I am, and please take no offense. I don't feel welcome here, even if you all are a bunch of wonderful people. I still want to keep in touch with all of you, but... not here.

I would like to know who you are, as I don't recognize your style of writing.
As it is, I am also a new admin here *cough*, but I would like to know who you are...it feels odd reading/talking with you...not knowing your name, as Eilonwy once said in much better terms... *wink*

Yes... I believe I know who you are... and Istawen, as an admin, compare their IP adress with that of the former top posters.
