Personally I think it's a load of sh*t. No gay relationships, no abortion, no 'rock' music (wait till they hear death metal and gore metal ) no tattoos, no alcohol, no abortion, sheeeeesh. I'll go through it properly later, but I'm exhausted from uni lectures and must read a bit before going to sleep.
Here's one I actually found hilarious, as they have no idea what they're talking about. The tattoo pages are hilarious as well. And for once I'm not going to apologise for offending anyone, because I honestly think this is utter rubbish. ;D
All I can I say is "ewwww" with reguards to their views on Christian rock music. Those kinds of sites upset me. How can a drum be evil? Is it the 4/4 timing? Somehow I don't think its quite right to put God in a box. How can someone say that God only likes one type of music: hymns. I personally believe that God is bigger than this.
I don't think music by itself can be evil. Its what we do with it that counts. I'm not crazy about legalistic churchers, but neither am I crazy about wishy washy churches. I just think they're are better things to get up on your soapbox for: abortion, homosexuality, murder, rape, incest, etc.
Well, it does say in the Bible that a man must not have sex with another man. But there's loads of other things about who you can and can't have sex with. But it never says having homosexual feeling is wrong, just that acting on those feelings is wrong.
I was saying I another thread (most likely Protestants vs. Catholics) that I completely disagree with the whole Catholics worshiping Mary. Well I found an article on BibleBelievers that shares the same view, so not everything on that site is crud. www.biblebelievers.com/bennett/bennett_mary-worship.html Also, the website seems to be against Mormonism, which I also believe to be a denomination that are very confused about what the Bible actually says...
Tatoos are banned in Leviticus somewhere I think, along with men shaving their beard and sideburns and wearing a shirt made of more than one material. Leviticus is also where it talks about homosexuality. But really, if you're going to disregard the silly ones, why not the other one?
I personally have no problems with homosexuals. It is their choice and their will to follow their feelings. I often find homosexuals are discriminated for being who they clearly want to be. I know Christian parents who won’t let their children play with these other adopted children who’s parents are gay. Doesn’t the Bible also tell no to judge?
I am an alternative/rock/metal/punk/goth/under-ground music lover. What they said was complete rubbish. I do not somehow get brainwashed and want to commit suicide because of the song I am listening to. I love rock. Just because I listen to that kind of music doesn’t make one a better or worse Christian. So what if it’s a bit louder and faster? We have many bands here is South Africa who are Christian rock bands and they happen to have very good music yet Christian lyrics… so this is evil now? “We are being invaded by hard rock, acid rock, punk rock, new wave, and heavy metal music under the guise of religious rock” the article said. I clap my hands to the people who actually consider teenagers and what they like. Christian teenagers aren’t going to buy “Christian Hymns” from the stores… maybe they would buy “Christian Rock”. “If you are a Christian and you don't realize that secular rock is evil and demonic then you better get your spiritual eyes examined because you have big problems.” Arg… give me a break!
And onto abortion. I am pro abortion. Shoot me. So many unwanted children are brought into this world. It is Scientifically proven that children pick up on vibes from their mother, when in the womb and therefore feel they are not wanted or not loved or are some kind of trouble and it later effects their emotions. Who would want to do that? Yes, it is killing but it is not a fully developed human. They have not a developed brain (yes a spirit and a soul but no matter what that cant be killed) and are zygotes. What about women who have been raped and fall pregnant? What about a teenage pregnancy? The girl can’t afford to have a child and raise it up, the child would have a crappy life. Polls show that most guys run away when their girlfriend falls pregnant. So what, woman must deal with it? I swear that if it was possible for men to fall pregnant it would be very different, abortion wouldn’t be that big of a deal! Who would want to bring a child into this world anyway?
Its not that I’m homophobic. I had a very good friend who was gay. We worked in the same office, and the gals all thought he was married because he wore a wedding ring. He was an awesome guy. We used to talk about books a lot because we both liked to read. We talked about everything. And when I got to know him better, he told me was gay. They way he explained it was that he had no choice in the matter. He said he prayed for God to take this away from but it didn’t happen.
I don’t pretend to know what he went through, but I did care about him because he was my friend. I never judged him. I did however believe the Bible which said homosexuality is wrong. God seems to hold the sin of homosexuality as a pretty big deal. Case in point would be Sodom and Gomorrah. These cities were completely destroyed.
There are always consequences for sin. And it seems to me there are health benefits as an incentive not to be a homosexual. ( I know I worded this badly, but I’m trying not to be graphic.) So if someone is in sin, it doesn’t mean we don’t love them or associate with them. It does mean we don’t condone their actions.
Of course there are unwanted children in this world. *points at herself* There are also many, many childless couples who would dearly love to be parents. *points at her mom & dad. I was adopted, and am very strongly prolife. It seems to me that it is a selfish thing to end a life because that child is inconvenient. I know this is an unpopular attitude. But I feel so badly for those babies who never got the chance to live.
Yes, but there are way too many children up for abortion. They end up going from one house to another in foster care and often end up in Children homes. Well, that’s the situation here in South Africa. Yes, people need to adopt. But I think it is selfish to put a child in a children’s home or rattle their lives. I’m not saying adoption is completely out of the question, but if no one wants to adopt then I think the zygot should be aborted. If I were to fall pregnant, I would first see if there is anyone wanting to adopt a child, if not I would abort it.
I will call you Goty! You will be MY Goty! (Goty = GotO = Galadriel)
Beware of the Goty spelling corrector. For every spello she makes $1 and with me around she is pretty rich…

I'm sorry but I think it's just plain wrong to say that homosexuality (or the act of it, whatever) is a sin. It's no better than those moronic racists out there. But I'm glad you cleared that up. As for the medical aspect, that's a load of rubbish, it's the same wither you're in a straight or gay relationship.
Abortion wise, I reckon we could maybe open up a new topic, but as I'm about to have a house party, all I'll say is, if I fell pregnant now, I wouldn't think twice about aborting it. I know some of you will think that I'd feel differently if it actually happened, but trust me, I know for a fact that I would abort it, I don't want children at all, let alone have to go through pregnancy just to give it away. I think abortion is a necesstiy, even if it is apparently 'murder' why is one form of murder better than another, governments kill people just about every day, and we can't allow people to terminate cells that would grow inside them and have an adverse effect on their mental and physical health, not to mention possibly ruining their lives.
Absinthe is the aphrodisiac of the self. The green fairy who lives in the absinthe wants your soul. But you are safe with me.
