Of course it matters if the fridge light goes out or not! What a waste of electricity if it didn't! I wonder if it would make a big difference to the electricity bill...

My fridge light is definitely off when I shut the door because it's not even on when the door is open.

Okay, so somebody has read DUNE, right? Interesting theory... Some say that there's no one there to percieve it, it doesn't. Well, like Darwi Odrade I believe that the sonic shock will exist wether there's somebody to hear it or not. Think like this: are u sure that when u turn your back one hundred devils don't appear behind u?
The answer is: yes, it does. But not a noise... a sonic shock...

BKnight -- I like how you almost always have something cited to DUNE nowdays ;D -- I don't blame you, I was like that after my first reading.
OK I'm veering off topic -- just a thought.

Dear InklingElf---you have not yet read the last four volumes. But, I won't go off the topic; I keep my first opinion--with the sonic shock; I don't have anything to get over it, you know, so...

Maybe it just randomly decided to fall over. It couldn't have been pushed, because then someone or some animal would have been there to hear it fall... | tari

this subject is fun... ok...Elentari...but even if the tree just fell and an animal heard or saw it....who saw the animal?

That's true... So even if there was something there to hear or see it we'd never know something was there, so we'd still not know if it had made a noise. Except of course if a human saw it, because then they could tell people. Unless they were deaf.

The animal itself, unless it's a blind mole or something.
Why do we need to know if an animal is there anyway?
