I reckon the title explains for itself. My fave movies- LOTR is a given, I feel a bit dumb even writing that, The Crow (Brandon Lee version) Plunkett and Macleane Don Juan De Marco Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Pirates of the Carribbean (it was entertaining ok?!) Donnie Brasco
....I know there were a whole lot more, but I can't think of them under this pressure. So I'll just post back here when they come to me. Ta ra.

I have very many favorite movies... but... can't remember most. LotR The Godfather Interview With the Vampire All I can do just now. I can, though, quite safely say that the worst movie is My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I prepare to be flamed. ;D -Menelien

I've had some time to think about this some more, and I realised I'd forgotten the following- The Fifth Element Once Upon A Time In Mexico Bram Stoker's Dracula -I cannot believe that I forgot that! Dogma Run Lola Run Amelie
Movies I don't reccommend- A.I. Resevoir Dogs (I love Tarantino, but I kinda got bored) Dungons and Dragons (I think that's the title) Jealousy is my Middle Name (but it's Korean, so not much chance of it being shown or on dvd) And some French film about a woman who killed her boss...

A.I. yeah, that got pretty boring after a while... it just kept dragging on... but Teddy was pretty spiffy I agree with A.I. being one of the worst..or at least I'd never recommend it to anyone.

Hmm, worst films. I can usually pick out something good in a film, but with the following, I just spent the whole time wishing it was over.
Withnail and I- do not bother. It has it's funny moments, but other than that, the plot has no direction, and you kinda hate the characters. El Cid- my god it's soo loooooooong. That one where Sarah Michelle Geller's a chef...(Irrisistable??) Deep Blue Sea- I have an irrational fear of sharks....and spiders- Arachnaphobia. *shudder*
Yet more good films- El Mariachi and Desperado, kind of sequal/remakes by Robert Rodriguez, who also did Once Upon A Time In Mexico, which does indeed rock, as stated above. American History X Young Frankenstein Mary Shelly's Frankenstein- (with Kenneth Brannagh) made me cry for aaages. Heathers.

Really, I haven't seen any bad movies that could be considered my worst. I have seen a movie I'm not too fond of, but I refrain from mentioning it because no doubt there are some fans...
But as for the ones I love...
I think LOTR is obvious.
Seven Samurai, naturally.
Madadayo I watched just recently and really enjoyed.
Thanks, Lossie, for reminding me of El Cid, even if our opinions on that differ. Or maybe there's more than one version?
Therese, though it isn't even out yet.
I haven't seen the whole thing and I haven't watched it in a long time, but what I remember of Henry V was pretty good.
And, of course, Chariots of Fire.
And how could I ever forget Fiddler on the Roof?
Now I have to wait and see if the doctor is in Master and Commander or not.... What would the story be without him? *sighs*
There may be more, but I'll have to think on it. I'll make a list and copy it down.

Right then, best:
LotR The Sword in the Stone (best Disney film ever) Amadeus (the soundtrack alone is great) Pirates of the Caribbean (even if I always read it as Carib-bean, which is quite amusing) My Fair Lady Mary Poppins Shrek Monty Python's Life of Brian Airplane! and probably some more
Worst: Haven't seen enough films to say I don't like any.

Best: LOTR Pirates of the Caribbean Rear Window (the old version) Rebecca Notorious Rope Dial M for Murder...heck, almost anything directed by Hitchcock ok? Indy 1 and 3 Bringing Up Baby Romeo and Juliet (old version) Taming of the Shrew with Elizabeth Taylor Much Ado About Nothing West Side Story Roman Holiday Sabrina Pride and Prejudice That will do for now I think. Worst: North by Northwest (the only Hitchcock I don't like) Rumplestiltskin The Phantom Menace Attack of the Clones All I can think of for now. I will probably be back later.

One of Lossie's favorite movies:
Would that movie have anything to do with the Irish poet? If so, you'll have to let me know more about it!
