Elentari, I've been considering it for a few days and have come to the conclusion that, as RPGs here usually go rather slow, I can handle it and I'll do it. I just ask all the gamers to bear with me if I get tight on time.
I'm going to leave the game open to take more players until June 6th and then I'll close it to accepting more RPers and let the game itself begin.
So far.........
The Players
Cempa, the father of the kidnapped girl - played by Nurumaiel
Faeryn, the mother of the kidnapped girl - played by NannaSmeagolsen
Morgen, the kidnapped girl - played by Elentari
Elenwen, a bandit - played by Alatáriel
Seragon Jaade, a bandit - played by Eowyn Skywalker
Delinor Teyina, Rohan company - played by Laireia
Frodleod, Rohan company - played by lordoffools
We have two bandits and two young men to help Cempa chase them. That should work out fine. The difficulty is that I'm afraid some people won't be interested in playing anymore. All those who are currently in the game and still want to play, please notify me either by PM or on the game so I'm informed.
I'd like to have a little sublot with the women back at the house, if NannaSmeagolsen still wants to play, so her character will have something to do. However if NannaSmeagolsen is no longer interested in playing we can focus just on the girl, the bandits, and the Rohan rescuers.
Any questions? Anyone want to suggest a plot twist they might have in mind? Fire away!
I really must go now... I have to film a baseball game.

Okay, I'm KIDDING!! Nope, no plot twists yet. Sorry. But Seragon is still in... I hope I can handle him, when I created him, I hadn't played Hanindur yet... but... yeah. Sigh.

ElberethVarda, I officially proclaim that you can take over the role of the mother.
I'm a couple days late on PMing the RPG mod to start the game, but I want to wait until after we have the profile for the mother.
Question: Would all you players rather start the game before the kidnapping occurs, at the very incident, or after the kidnapping?

Personality: Mirianna is barely an adult. Once in a while, she shirks her duty and goes off to be alone, or ride her horse. But usually she works hard in keeping her home in order. She had no desire to marry Cempa, but was forced into it by her parents. They were friends before, but not as peers. She knows it is not his fault, and does not hate him for it, but still, she wishes that she had had some choice in the matter. Although she is angered easily, she never lets it show. She keeps her emotions inside her. She is kind to most people, unless they do her children wrong.
Notable Possessions: Her dagger, which her father gave her when she married Cempa.
Physical Appearance: Mirianna has blue eyes, and golden hair. Her face is beginning to show the marks of age, but just barely. She usually lets her hair hang loose down her back; it reaches her waist.

Before the kidnapping, so that way the kidnappers might actually find a motive, and then we could actually go through the part where they kidnap her, and see the parents reactions... oh the suspense novels...

Okay, I think we're just about ready to start. Alatáriel, as our RPG mod, would you mind giving the okay and opening the thread? The PlayersCempa, the father of the kidnapped girl - played by Nurumaiel Mirianna, the mother of the kidnapped girl - played by ElberethVarda Morgen, the kidnapped girl - played by Elentari Elenwen, a bandit - played by Alatáriel Seragon Jaade, a bandit - played by Eowyn Skywalker Delinor Teyina, Rohan company - played by Laireia Frodleod, Rohan company - played by lordoffools Heoleth, Rohan company - played by Ophelia Now this is what's going to happen. The game is going to start the day before the event of the kidnapping so readers will have to time to become introduced to the family and Delinor, Frodleod, and Heoleth... the latter three will be able to make their connections with Cempa's family firm so they'll have a solid reason for wanting to help. Elenwen and Seragon will have time to plot on how they're going to carry out their plan of kidnapping the girl as well as coming up with a good reason why. Alatáriel and Eowyn Skywalker, feel free to talk to Elbereth, Elentari, and me if you want the family to help out with the motive. Also at a later point in the game when the men actually leave the village in search of the girl I'd like all players to know they're welcome to play women of the village to interact with Elbereth's character, who would otherwise be left with nothing to do. She'll need comforting, I'm sure! Any questions? Suggestions? |
