I still say Helm's Deep. Yes all of those things were nessicary too. The women and children shots in the cave added emotional connection, you wanted them to survive (at least I did). And knowing that there are mostly old and young fighters gives a feeling of hopeless. That adds up to the feeling you get when the elves come. PJ did a wonderful thing, he played with our emotions and connected us to the scene. I don't care what anyone says, Helm's Deep is my favorite fight scene so there
