img-nex.theonering.net/sounds/Annie_Lennox_-_Into_The_West.rmThat's a link to the RotK theme song that will be played in the credits. Post your opinions about it here. You can find other people's opinions here, but I thought we'd starr our own discussion here too! Dragoneyes and I are going to make a point by leaving the cinema before it starts playing! People who are going to make a point by walking out before it starts playing:

It's kind of... pop-like isn't it?
And is Annie Lennox, whoever she is, American? She sounds it.
One more thing, why is rugby on again? WE WON! YAAAY!

And the "AOL MUSIC, FIRST LISTEN" Just doesn't go with the rest of the song. What was PJ thinking shoving that in?

Ah. I was wondering why you guy were gonna walk out. Don't blame you, but I don't think I'll do that.

When you listened to it, did you hear the whole thing? Do you like it better now that you've seen it in context? I'm no so thrilled to be the odd one out here, but I for one love it. I think it's really sad, and I actually like the lyrics. It's my favorite LOTR credits song *gasp*. Mostly because of what it's about, but I love it for it's own merit, too. The first eleven times I heard it, I cried. And if you left during the credits and haven't been back to watch them all, you missed some very lovely credits!

Yes, singing along is fun. ;D You were annoyed with the ending, you say? So you didn't like the "Well, I'm back" and all that? Or were you just disappointed there was no Scouring of the Shire?

Oh, I see..... Well, I didn't care as much about the people getting on the boat. I loved the end. I've seen it three times, and each time I've sat through the credits crying and enjoying it. And the song just helps the tears along. I'm kind of weird that I enjoy crying at the end of ROTK, but it just seems such a natural response, and a relief, in a way.
