Bye bye! You know, I'll be getting my exam results around January... Three more exams left - maths this afternoon, spanish tomorrow morning, and drama next Tuesday. Wonder how I did. Find out later, I suppose... Anyway, goodbye lordofthetools, and have fun on your holiday! Cheers, ~ Elentari II

Why? We've just finished them nationwide, and it'll take a long time for them to be all sent to official markers, marked, and sent back.
It's not marked by the school....
So it takes them a couple of months. Annoying and nerve-wracking, but not altogether surprising.
Finished the last of them today! And handed in my notice of resignation today for my paper-run (earlier than was required, but since it's the holiday season) to take effect on the 1st of January. Yay!!!
Cheers,

Because exam results arrive in August!
WHERE THE BLOODY HELL IS EVERYBODY?
I've been trying to get the Tolkienite Showdown place moving again but to no avail. If anyone's reading this who's not posted for ages, please get out there and post, otherwise I have nothing else to do when I'm bored.
Other than write a description of Middle-earth's quails.

That's only if your school year finishes in June. Or is it July? But that'd be kind of pointless for us, since our summer is at the end of the year, Christmas time, and the northern hemisphere summer is our winter. So the school year in NZ for 2004 has just finished. Crazy...having your school year go over two separate years... Cheers, ~ Elentari II

Yeah, it kinda sucks when people say "last year" because they could be talking about last school year, or last actual year. Then there are financial people who talk about the new financial year that starts in March or April.
I'm glad I don't live in London where they observe the Chinese new year as well. TOO MANY YEARS!

Yes, simple, it would have to be wouldn't it? Don't take offence, none is meant.

I love having other new years, it means the one I celebrate isn't so special and therefore it's not quiite so depressing. Just an average day for so many other people.

As in January 1st, New Year's Day? I'm pretty sure nobody would celebrate New School Year's Day, but then I'm just speaking for NZ.
