Imladris is dead. We all know it, and many of us seem to have dissappeared. Yes, I am aware I spelt that wrong. (I think) I was going to post this in the admin section, but I think it's more of a universal members matter.
I basically want any suggestions as to how we can get this place going again.
One of my proposals is to start an arts section, from drawing to theatre, depending on your opinions. It could be interesting to have somewhere to put any artwork we do ourselves, or to post anything that inspires us.
My second idea, which I suggested to Elentari a while ago, and that is to have a kind of philosophy section. I'm not sure what the rest of you think about it, but I definaly am facinated by the topic.
Anyone got an opinion on any of these? Or a suggestion of thier own? Pleeeeeaassse?? Step up and help fight for Imladris!

Well I think it is a great idea. We could open The Chamber of Secrets in hope to bring everyone back but I doubt it will work because we need a lot of people to take part in the activities. The art section is a good idea too.
I know this sounds harsh but in a later stage we might have to join with another forum, that might keep things going.
I must admit that when things died I haven’t come n much… but I think that is how all of us are! I do believe that went Elentari left the place slowly died, we really do need her back

Maybe you should "advertise" more? Like, ask the members to put the link in their sigs? And Nilly- which forum do you mean?

I shall never give up! But I o fell kinda guilty about the fact it slowly died after I left. I could set up a web site if you tell me what to put on it. I do HTML well. Art work would be cool! And stupid LotR pics. I have a funny one of aragorn at hollin (or whatever it's called... that hill thing....)

I have a few altered pictures, Devil Merry for one, and a ringwraith with a face, and two that are anti-Arwen. Then there are a couple of captions. I must find a way of getting them on the internet...

OK, this is good. I'm willing to start up an art section, I don't have time this very minute, but I will soon. (Not like I just want somewhere to put all my fave paintings or anything....) It'd also give us somewhere to put fan art or whatever.
And Nil, I do agree that the Chamber would probably not work out just now, since there aren't many posters, but if things don't pick up soon, lets just go for it and hope for the best.
And about the advertising thing, what do you think of exchanging advertising? I'm not sure if it can even be done, but we could (in theory) exchange banners or something with other forums or even websites.
And can anyone analyse dreams? Just a stem of a thought there, slightly random. I'll think on that some more...

Ok I just spoke to Tarien Ithill on the phone and she has a forum called Crickhollow. It is a really nice forum and its fun. We could exchange with them? She has a few members we could use. How do you exchange banners? Cause she doesn’t mind.

Nilly - Crickhollow is awesome, but things seem to be going a bit slow there too.  I don't know. And Rivendell isn't visited by too many people, but I could ask the owners of that if you want... -Menelien |

Ok everyone is probably going to say no but why don’t we just start a new forum with Imladris, Rivendell and Crickhollow together? That way we could never die.

But that would totally lose the identity of all three forums, most likely... they are quite different, and I think that's a good thing. And who ever said Rivendell said yes? ^_^ I'm waiting for its owners to get online to ask about the banner switching thing, though.  -Menelien |

Well it was just an idea. And I never said Rivendell said yes. Well I am in Barrow-Downs and it is also kind of dead, maybe its just not a busy time of the year...

I have Imladris, as well as my own forum, in my sig on the 'downs... you may have noticed that I havent been posting a lot lately heer... and if you didnt, you are making me really loved.. no really *sarcastic tone* for some reason I just strayed from Imladris, it could be the fact that I do have my own forum, well not mine, I share it with Elvish Hobbit, and things have seemed to be going fast there, so I guess I was really posting a lot there.... |
