Just thought I'd pose a few questions, in other words, stuff I've vaguely thought about, but never bothered posting. I'm waiting for the potatoes to boil, so I have time for an unimportant post.
1- Is the lack of posting due to exams? I don't revise till the last minute, but I know some people've been doing it for months. Or, has the novelty just worn off?
2- How many people are doing this "Walk to Rivendell" thing? Cause I just found out about it the other day, and it seems to be a bit late to join in now, so on the offchance that some people are in the same situation, or want to know more, I thought we could start a topic for it here. But obviously only if there're more people, cause I think some people here are already doing it.
Ok, that's about all...
Oh, and Elentari- expect a pm in the next few days, I've had anothr idea, but it needs work, cause I'm not sure people'd really take to it, although i think some of you will be very interested.......that's all I'm gonna say for just now....

"Walk to Rivendell"? Oh, the thing started by Mark12_30 (or 20, whatever...damn, i feel bad, shes so nice...) Ive never actually looked really....what is it?
There are so many tolkien forums, on ezboard, geocities and yahoo, as well as independent sites, like the Downs and Bree. We may just be another one, which is a pity, as you people are really cool! Those at the BDs tend to have a real taste for it, which is why some may click on the sig links (who else has one, btw, apart from me and Elentari?). But with the Downs, it is oh-so-easy just to fall into the pits obsession, especially with such an enticing RPG section (believe me, I, erm, know a bit about downs obsession...).
How can we improve Imladris to make it more appealing?

1 - Exams I'd say.
2 - Never too alte to join! I'm actually not doing any more walking... just counting what I do in a school day. It averages about 2 miles a day.

The walk thing- it's basically you have to aim to walk the...errr..458?? miles to Rivendell, like Frodo did, before TTT is released. Actually, that's kinda fitting, since we're called Imladris.
And no, I don't have a link in my sig, it's up as my homepage, but for some reason it didn't work in my sig. (In other words, I tried, and failed, then got to lazy to keep trying, and went back to posting)
I think my new thang might be of interest to some people...it's a huge interest to me anyway. But you'll see as soon as I find time to figure it out properly. (Is it obvious that I'm finding it hard not to blurt it out?)

I'm doing the walk to Rivendell, gone 95 miles! I think I'm a bit behind actually, ah well, I've just found a route home that will mean that I've travelled nine miles by the end of the day as opposed to the usual three.
Before TTT is released *raises eyebrow* bit late then eh? I know what you mean, I'm just being nasty.
And just go ahead and blurt it out! Come on! The suspense is killing! (that's not a sarcastic as it sounds)

Ok, well, I will take a look at the walk to rivendell thing, because I am so confused right now.

I already shamelessly advertise for Breeunderbreehill on the Downs, in PMs, you know, just slipping in whether people would like to maybe join an RPG on another site....? In which case they have to join and bingo! we have new members. So thats one of the things I would say first- RPGing is getting ever more popular, and if we can appeal to that more, all the better.

Seriously- it's not as interesting as it seems. Some people will find it interesting, but others, probably quite a few because I seem to be very strange- none of my friends are into it. So it's all gooooood.

Exams I would say and yes I am doing the Walk To Rivendell (I like to call it the Skate To Rivendell) for I do professional ice-skating in my spare time  ! |

Professional ice-skating? Cool. I've never ice-skated in my life, although that might have something to do with the fact that I live in Florida. Maybe.

Oh lol. Well it does snow a little in Australia but not in my area. We have a huge ice-ring…. I am surprised Florida does not have one!!!
