Okay, this is only half-related - but which Tolkien/Lewis books have you read and what do you think about them.
I've read several of both authors but I have to go now. Long past when I should have started doing my work.

The Narnia Chronicles
The Screwtape Letters
Screwtape Proposes a Toast
Surprised by Joy
Till We Have Faces
Part of 'Out of the Silent Planet' - I'm finding this trilogy quite difficult.
Mere Christianity
The Lord of the Rings
Farmer Giles of Ham
Leaf by Niggle
The Smith of Wooton Major
Part of 'The Silmarillion'
Part of 'The Return of the Shadow'
Part of 'Tom Bombadil Poems'
I think that's all. I might have read some others that I can't remember at the moment though.
I'll expand on this later.

Bekah: I'm not entirely sure what you need help in [Out of the Silent Planet], but I'll give you an outline written by me:
Outlinefficeffice" />
Plot: Ransom, the hero of our story is taken [while on a walking tour] against his will to another planet: Malacandra, by Weston and Devine. He is told that he is there to be sacrificed to creatures called sorns, and that they were going to look for more “suns-blood”, or gold. In the event of his murder, Ransom escapes and meets and gains friends among the hnau [creatures of Malacandra]. Since that time, he is on a journey to Meldilorn, where Oyarsa [wisest of the eldil and ruler of the planet] dwells.
Themes: Weston and Devine, the two humans that took Ransom to Malacandra are symbols of how ‘bent’/’evil’ human kind is, or how they go down to the level of lower animals [i.e., when they attack the hnau and act like they are unthinking creatures]. Ransom on the other hand, is an allegory of wisdom, understanding and humanness [i.e., when he comes to terms with Oyarsa, the séroni and hrossa].
Main Characters:
Ransom- He is a philologist, linguist and on a walking tour in the beginning of the book. He is the hero of the story.
Devine-Ransom’s old-time rival since elementary. He goes to Malacandra to collect “sun’s-blood” or gold.
Weston-A scientist, and accompanies Weston to look for more gold. He drugs and brings Ransom to the ship and tells him he might be eaten by sorns. He helps Devine kill three hnau on Malacandra [including Hyoi, Ransom’s hross friend].
Oyarsa-A god-like creature [an eldil] whose only wish is to know more about Thulcundra [Earth] and its inhabitants.
Point of view: third person omniscient, author
Conclusion: The human race, as Oyarsa says is ‘bent’ because of fear. Weston and Devine didn’t know, and didn’t take time to know more about the hnau and what they wanted from them. Instead, they plundered the planet of gold and killed some hnau. This is what happens when humans plot evil for their own purpose, in this case it was gold. Ransom is more of the positive and humane side of the human race; he takes time to communicate and make friends with the hnau, and doesn’t go down to the level of Weston and Devine.

I got to where he was visiting the ancient hross or something. Anyway, it's mainly his style I'm having trouble with. It's just kind of...uh, how shall I put this...dense material. It's hard to read.
At least for me.

Really? Well it does take alot of concentration-but reading chapters at least twice before you move on will help if you still don't get it.
