Okay, I have a request to make - could I please be a mod for this section? What I want to do is to be able to change the punctuation and all the little mistakes made in the RPGs. I want to make it a bit more flowing. I don't want to change the content or the majority of the words, unless it's a word like: "Like usual" - I'd like to change the 'like' to 'as'. But there aren't many mistakes in the actual words, mainly just the spelling a punctuation.

Well, Elentari (II), being a mod doesn't give you the right to correct peoples spelling and gramatical errors. If you are really annoyed with their mistakes, pm them and get them to check it on a word program. Mods just keep an eye on the content and give them a push in the right direction. As long as you understand this, i will add you as a mod.

Okay.
Say someone - a nice LOTR fan - comes along, finds your link, Elentari, and then decides to visit the RPG section. Then she reads the actual RPG. I would merely like to tidy this up a bit, inserting commas and things, in order to make it slightly easier to read. If I want to change a word such as the aforesaid 'like' to 'as', I will ask the person who wrote that post.
That is all. So far as it has gone, I think the content is alright, apart from saying that some of the Istari are elf-witches. They're not. They're Maiar.

P.S. If I ask the people who wrote the post to go through, add little commas or full-stops or capital letters, it'll probably inconvience them. And if someone hates the litte comma I added, they can always re-edit it out again.

Before I begin, I have a quick question for you (this only applies if you're from the Barrow-Downs): Are you Elentari Greenleaf or a different Elentari?
All right, let's get started...
This is Nurumaiel, and I've from the Barrow-Downs, where I'm a roleplayer there. Elentari II has directed me here. My question is already waht Elentari II has said: May I be a RPing Mod?
Now to state my reasons. Please bear with me: This is one of those things I have a hard time putting in words, but hopefully I'll do well at it...
1. The same reason as Elentari II: To fix those small problems, such as inserting commas, periods, paragraphs, etc., etc., etc.
2. Okay, this is the last reason I'll give until I've better thought out how to word it. This is probably the most important reason of all. The mods aren't there to be this power controling everyone, they're there to help writers, especially those new at it. I've helped many of my friends who are writers progress, and some have even become writers by reading the works I did when I were young (don't ask for them: no good... need I say more? I was young!) I love to assist other writers, and especially if it would involve LotR RPing. I would love to be one of those friendly mods who help new writers so much, just as piosenniel and Child of the 7th Age from Barrow-Downs helped me.
Hopefully I've put all I've wanted to say so it's understandable.

2. Are there any requirements for starting a RPG? i.e. Do you have to send in a proposal form?

Makes sense to me, Nuru. She's got just as good a reason as I had, Elentari, but...wouldn't you be able to do the second one without being a mod, Nuru?
Or have I got it all twisted?
Anyway, I might miss some mistakes, Elentari, and Nuru can help me. Or I can help her. Whatever. Anyway, two heads are better than one, and if we want to change any words at all, we'll ask the author first, won't we Nuru? *looks at her meaningly to make sure she understands*

I suppose you could help people with their writing without being a mod, but I never do, because that's the job of those there for that reason (the mods). The mods are depended upon to help people, see?
Oh, I know that's making no sense. I better go before I get anyone else (and myself) more confused.
I await Elentari (I)'s arrival! I'll be here Saturday evenings, Sundays, and all the time when Easter comes, but if I do become a mod I'm allowed to come here every day (responsibility ).

I aven't quite thought up an idea for a new game. I'll let you know when I do.

Sensible idea, notifying people of any changes you make.
Are you sure that you can't edit posts, Nuru? What should happen is that under each post in the RPG section, there will be this white box saying 'Moderator options' - that is, if you're a mod. Click on it. Make sure that you've double-checked all of the options before deciding that an option isn't there.
You won't see a little eraser and trash-bin on anybody's posts other than your own. Even if you're a mod.
Do you not have this little box of 'moderator options'?

Elentari,
After a long absence due to Lent, I've returned and see that you've moved to a different board. Good choice, I have my own board with proboards and it's excellent.
Now that I've once again arrived, can I be re-added as a mod? And I'll be sending along my RPG idea within the next few days, as soon as I get it built up properly.

I think you can make it so you can get into the Mods only forum without typing a password in (not that I've tried....). You can have it so that only certain people can get in, I'll just go find out how you do it.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! This is the first thread I've visited since my return! Kudos to whoever moved our site!! My grandmother died the day after I posted last on the old one and we had to quick fly over to Spain and I just now returned. *reads posts*  Does that mean I can't be a mod? Boohoo. I am only interested in the RPG section of this site (no offense) so I'd love to be really involved in it. Anyways, I'm on my way to read over all the RPG proposals and add my own (maybe).
