What do you know? I'm wondering why nobody thought of this thread before. Anyway, here it is, guys! Aliens and UFOs. Do you believe that little green men from Mars exist? Do you believe that they are travelling through outer-space in gigantic saucer ships? Or not? Personally, given the fact that the universe is infinite, it's nearly impossible that us, humans, are the only intelligent beigns. I DO believe that aliens exist! Now, there are theories and there are theories. Some say (X-FILES) that they have grey skin and big eyes, and they kidnap and take our btrains out... Others say that (STAR TREK) there are good and bad aliens, and that they are not so very different from a hobbit once... uhh... wrong story... ahem... from us. Others, (VISITOR) say that there are only good aliens. Some others (DARK SKIES) that there are only bad aliens. Others say (MIB) that we already know the aliens and co-exist with them. Others that people were some kind of freak experiment of a very advanced alien species... Others say that God is the alien. Remember the Roswell incident... I've heard that the American gov have captured living aliens and have been doing some research on them. That kinda explains a little the INDEPENDECE DAY plot, right? But, like Frodo used to say in Emyn Muil : "We are not alone!"

If I remember correctly in the Sleeppy Hollow book wrote by Washington Irving the plot evolved around a rider who lost his head in the middle of a battle and his horse usued to run around with him throught the woods scaring the villagers. So no ghosts, no demons, no mosters. Now, in Tim Burton's Sleeppy Hollow the horseman is for real. Tim Burton suggests that the person who had the horseman skull could command him, thus the horseman would obey. So, what do u think of this theory? Do u know any related facts or stories about this sort of thing?

I've just reffered to the movie remotely. Knowing that Oph likes paranormal, or should I say is keen about it, I recommended the movie. The topic I had started to talk about the legend of the Headless Rider. Got it?

Okay, so did u see the movie which I was talking about? I think u would like it. Anyway, this horseman was more of material ghost, almost a walking dead; yes, a walking-dead. Someone (in the movie) had his head and controlled it. U should see it.

Well, this is somewhat a very old myth, right? About the rider which has no head and wanders the wilds. I used to know, that there was a book about this horseman. it was about a cossack soldier who had lost his head in battle but his horse never stopped from running, keeping his master in the saddle. The folk, superstitious, as they are, thought It came from Hell.
But, somewhat recently, Tim Burton directed a movie about Sleepy Hollow and the horseman. It's with johnny Depp! Well, the movie says that the horseman really had no head and terrified all the ppl.

What a story! Ghosts and beasts in mirrors? Two lit candles? I think it's as made up as the cold hands theory or the devil one. (both mentioned above) Still, u know what they say: the curiosity killed the cat; but it died knowing a wee bit more.

Now, now, Ophie. U of all ppl should know better when I'm kidding or when I'm angry. So, u were kidding, i was kidding, we were both kidding. So, no need to excuse yourself. Still, very polite of you. Btw, tell us more about "using the mirror unwise" or "the black lady from the other side". i would love to hear about them. The only way I know to use a mirror is to stare at it. And, when I was a little boymy friends told me that u can call the devil in the mirror at midnight and fight him. Of course it was made up, but it made me avoid the mirrors at night.

ya, sheesh. I was not the one that wrote that dang theory, right? And, believe me, if u think that is silly I've heard tons of more theories that while they sound okay, I think they're just pranks. like "u'll have b luck if u see a black cat"

Okay, so I've heard this really spooky thing and I'd like to share it. I've read that u never should sleep with your back at a mirror, because sometime in the night u might fell some cold boney arms trying to pull u on the mirror's other side. Yeah, I know, it's a bit too much even for the vaults (too crazy) but I would like to know what u think of it.

I think I missed the point of this thread. What is so spooky at people looking almost the same? Are you trying to imply that they are from the other side of the mirror, I mean from the other realm, or what?

And Yoda said to Luke: "You must feel the Force flowing through you. Concentrate. Reach out, use the Force and make me climb this stupid stairs."
Well, actually I'm a Star Wars film and I think the movies were great and all, so don't get all sorts of ideas.
Well, I haven't moved things with me mind until now, although I wanted too. The Jedi were cool!
