"Hi Elbereth, nice to meet ya," Oro said to Elbereth. She smiled and waved. Elbereth set down her Gaffer's Delight. "I think we've met," she said mysteriously.
Oro and Nova both looked very confused. "You know me under my alter-ego," she said, her eyes twinkling. Oro and Nova traded uncomfortable glances. Elbereth laughed warmly at their expressions. "Don't worry, you'll have plenty of time for guessing later in the evening!" she said. "Now, let's have fun!"

Elbereth laughed as Ophelia ambushed Nova. She hurried over to greet her as well.
"Mae govannen, Nova!" she said, smiling warmly. "It's wonderful to see you!" Nova smiled and said, "It's wonderful to be here." "Why were you late?" chided Ophelia. Nova lowered her eyes sheepishly. "I had oufit, er, trouble," she said, blushing. The three of them laughed heartily. "Well, no matter, you're here now!" Elbereth said, throwing her hands up joyously. "Come have some refreshments!" The three of them made their way through the growing crowd to the table.

Elbereth smiled to herself. The party was in full swing, with Travis (whoever he was) blaring over the speakers. Most of the guests had arrived, and those that hadn't...Well, it was their loss!
Elbereth wandered over to the refreshment table and picked up a handful of pistachios. She laughed silently, remembering the fiasco that had occured earlier. She noticed Ala scribbling away energetically on a piece of paper, with Dom reading over her shoulder. Elbereth smiled again. This was the best party ever.

Elbereth noticed Alatariel entering, with Dom trailing along behind her. Ala hurried behind the bar and a crowd of people enfulged it immediatly. When most of it had been served, Elbereth made her way towards the bar.
"Good evening, mellon nin!" Elbereth said to her. "How are you?" "Dom and I are fine, thank you," Ala replied, scooping ice into a glass. "Would you like a drink?" she said, raising an eyebrow. "Just a mug of hot chocolate would be nice," Elbereth said, surveying the list of available drinks behind Ala. "Nilly will be thrilled that you're finally here." Ala laughed and handed her a thin porcelain cup filled with rich chocolate and thick whipped cream. "Dom and I are prepared for it," Ala said. "I hear Mip brought William with her." They both laughed heartily, Dom staring at them confusedly.

Elbereth saw Elentari enter the hall. She looked wonderful, especially her mithril belt. All of the guests that were here had amazing gowns; it seemed that most of them had come straight from Middle Earth.
Elbereth smiled as she saw Firi assail Elvish Hobbit with a cd in hand. I could have guessed, she thought. Elbereth walked over to Firi. She raised her eyebrows. "The Beatles, mellon nin?" Firi smiled sheepishly. Elbereth laughed and threw a pistachio at her. Firi frowned in mock annoyance and threw one back. Elbereth filled her hand full of them and pelted Firondoiel with them. Soon, they both were breathless with laughter. Elbereth collapsed on the ground, her airy skirt billowing out around her.
"Wasting good pistachios, are we?" came Elentari's voice. Elbereth jumped up from the floor and brushed her skirt off. "We couldn't resist," Firondoiel said apologetically. Elentari's mouth twitched. Niluial's laugh came from behind her. "I'll clean them up," said Elbereth, smiling conspiritorially. "I wouldn't trust you to," laughed Nilly. "We'll call one of the hobbits."

ElberethVarda brushed her short black curls back into place before entering the hall where the party was to be held. Excitment was building and she could feel it n the air. She entered and hung her silver-blue cloak up. She saw Firiondoiel's next to it and smiled. She's always early, Elbereth thought remininscently.
She surveyed the hall. Niluial and Firondoiel were conversing quietly beside the beautiful tree, decorated with green fairies. It was a lovely sight, twinkling and fluttering as if in a breeze.
Niluial caught sight of her and hurried over, followed by Firondoiel. "It's wonderful to see you here!" Niluial said, greeting her warmly. Firi smiled at her. "You both look lovely," Elbereth told them, her eyes twinkling. "I'm so excited!"

Ok, I talked it over with my parents and here it is: God chooses who becomes a Christian. It's not like he turns people away. Remember this verse:
Colassians 2:13 "You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ. He forgave all our sins."
See, before you were a Christian, you could do nothing but sin. But once God makes you able to accept him, you can now do other things.
Ephesians 1:5 "He predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will."
Ephesians 1:11 "In him we were chosen having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with his will."
But, once we're Christians, it's our choice. We can either let the Holy Spirit control us, or be controlled by sin.
Menelien- No, you are not thick-headed and stupid. You just haven't seen yet.

I honestly don't know why it's like that. But I think we have missionaries because that's God's way of getting to the ones who are going to be saved. But I don't know about the rest.

Yup, that's what I'm saying. That's the way I see the verse.

Actually, the Bible never really states that we have a free will. We humans like to think we do, but it isn't really that way. I have a verse that says something about it, several, in fact.
Romans 9:15-18 "What shall we say then? That God is unjust? Not at all! For He says to Moses," I will have mercy on those on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion on those on whom I will have compassion." It does not, therefore, depend on a man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.
Jeremaiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
