...Perhaps it mainly depends on the type of teacher you have -- that much is obvious. And if a teacher proves to be unreasonable -- a course of action must follow through. I have not heard of one single concrete arguement that could go against this.

As a student, the most predictable opinion would be to ban homework.
I have debated this in a formal style in class last year, and have come to the conclusion that it should NOT be banned, due to the fact that it indeed, is useful in the learning environment esp. in pop-quizzes, tests, med-terms--the likes.
Perhaps, it can be taken in a negative way--but it is part of the reason we are able to further our understanding in school subjects etc.
