Has any one seen it? It's a 70s cartoon rendering of the book--and I think it's really cute. In fact it overpowers the LOTR cartoon (<---which REALLY sucks) made before the days of the movies.

I've seen it twice when I was younger. It freaked me out at first, but then my brother discovered that the movie was based upon a book and so he started reading it. Of course I had to read it too (sibling rivalry you know) and that is how I got introduced to the wonderful world of Tolkien!

Whichever illustrator, nay, publisher that copy of The Hobbit had ought to be shot! Poor Tolkien must have turned in his grave when that went to the printers. My copy has that cool pictre of Smaug sitting atop his pile of gold on it I LOVE DRAGONS!
